On May 30, 2018 the immigration officials of British Columbia, conducted a draw in the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program. In it 175 candidates received the invitation to apply using all streams. The least score for Express Entry international graduates, skilled workers, and for the provincial international graduate stream, was 95 points. The score requirement for provincial skilled workers was 87 points and for the semi-skilled and Entry level workers it was 70 points.

In the previous draw of May 23, 2018 27 new candidates received the invitation to apply in the PNP Tech Pilot.
Moreover, the least score for Express Entry international graduates, skilled workers, and for the provincial international graduate stream, was 92 points. The score requirement for provincial skilled workers was 86 points and for the semi-skilled and Entry level workers it was 60 points.

British Columbia commenced the B.C. PNP Tech Pilot in 2017, with an aim to attract skilled workers in 32 technology occupations. It has conducted specific PNP draws for these technology workers from May 2017.
The province is taking a position to benefit from migration of technology workers who look for an alternative to the US policies under President Donald Trump.

The provincial nomination serves as a guarantee in selection to the Canada Express Entry System, and also gives 600 CRS points.
The Program also publishes the scores which the immigrants need to get an invitation for Canada immigration. This score for an international graduate is 30 points lower than a skilled worker for the Canada Express Entry as well as the provincial stream. It is lower again for semi-skilled and entry-level workers.
