Prince Edward Island PNP: EOI Draw Issues 111 Invitations For Canada PR

Prince Edward Island provincial immigration announced 111 invitations to apply in the last draw of the year 2019 below its Expression of Interest system.

Out of 111 ITAs, the 19 December 2019 Prince Edward Island EOI draw issued 100 invitations to apply to PEI's Labour Impact and PEI's Express Entry applicants, and the remaining 11 invitations to apply to Business Impact applicants.

The applicants in the Business Impact stream expected a minimum of 140 points score which is up 10 points related to the earlier draw. PEI province started its Expression of Interest system at the beginning of 2018 and has performed monthly draws from that point of time.

In the year 2019 PEI has conducted 12 draws and issued ITAs to 1,629 candidates, in those 1,436 ITAs through the streams of PEI's Labour Impact and PEI's Express Entry and the remaining 193 ITAs through the PEI Business Impact stream.

Prince Edward Island PNP Immigration Draws in 2019

PEI announced a sum of 1,446 invitations in the previous year 2018, the inaugural year that operated an EOI system.

Out of these, 1,240 given to Labour Impact stream and PEI Express Entry stream, with the outstanding 206 ITAs going to candidates in the Business Impact stream. The biggest EOI draw conducted on October 18, 2018, where 297 candidates received invitations.

PEI's Express Entry Stream

This category operates by recognizing candidates who are already in the Canadian Express Entry Pool for a nomination from the province for Canada PR.

Such a nomination attaches 600 CRS points to a candidate’s CRS score and dramatically guarantees an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR.

This Category has two pathways for Canada PR, one is for aspirants with an employment offer from a Canadian employer and the other one is for aspirants without an employment offer from a Canadian employer.

PEI's Business Impact Category

Work Permit Stream

Individuals applying through this stream need to obtain a Canadian work permit and need to work in a P.E.I. business for a defined amount of time as indicated in a Performance Contract.

After the Agreement of Performance is fulfilled, the applicant needs to invest CAD 150,000 in the business and manage the business from the province of P.E.I.
