Ontario PNP: Two Employer Job Offer Streams Opened Closed On Same Day

Ontario PNP opened applications for its two Employer Job Offer streams on 3 Mar 2020. After encountering technical problems and short application time, both streams have attained their limits of intake and then have been closed.

The Ontario's Immigrant Nominee Program (O.I.N.P) Employer Job Offer category permits newcomers with an offer of a job to apply for an Ontario provincial nomination for Canadian PR. They can apply from either in Canada or from abroad, as long as they hired for a permanent job with an Ontario firm.

On 3 March 2020, the Ontario PNP published a statement that they opened applications for the International Student Stream. Intake was suddenly paused due to technical problems, as per the OINP webpage. It was re-opened later along with the Foreign Worker Stream, but after short time applications for both streams had touched their limits of intake and were closed.

OINP Received 1,322 Successful Registrations

The O.I.N.P said that they got 1,322 successful registrations through the application intake window. Those successfully enrolled and obtained a file number has 14 days to present an application, which takes approximately 3 hours on the web portal of O.I.N.P.

The O.I.N.P will remain to monitor the application intake across all streams to decide when the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker and International Student streams will reopen in the year 2020.

For now, applications for two streams remain to be closed until further notification. Applications are open for the In-Demand Skills Stream beneath Ontario PNP’s Employer Job Offer category.

• In-Demand Skills Stream- for foreign workers who have employment offers in specific in-demand professions.
