Nova Scotia Issues ITAs To Community And Social Workers In Express Entry

The latest draw by the Nova Scotia province’s Stream Labour Market Priorities has announced new invitations to apply to Express Entry applicants with work experience as a community and social service workers.

The Stream Labour Market Priorities enables the Nova Scotia province’s immigrant nominee (N.S.N.P) program to explore the Express Entry pool for applicants with special work experience and then invite them to appeal for a nomination from the Nova Scotia province for Canadian PR.

The 5 December draw was the Nova Scotia immigrant nominee (N.S.N.P) program's sixth by the Stream Labour Market Priorities in the year 2019. Prior draws in this year have aimed at Express Entry applicants with qualified work experience as carpenters, nurses, accountants, and financial auditors among others.

The Federal Express Entry system controls the pool of applicants for the Federal Skilled Trades Class, Federal Skilled Worker Class, and Canadian Experience Class, which are the 3 Canadian principal Economic immigration programs.

The 5 December draw aimed at Express Entry applicants with work experience in NOC 4212 - Community and Social Service Workers.

Applicants who are selected in Stream Labour Market Priorities do not need an employment offer in the province of Nova Scotia in order to be counted.

Applicants selected by the Nova Scotia Immigrant Nominee program will receive an Interest Letter through the Federal Express Entry system and they have 30 days from the date the Interest letter was announced to provide their application.

Eligibility Requirements

Along with other criteria, candidates have to meet the below criteria to be eligible:

• Need to have a primary profession of social or community service worker (N.O.C 4212);
• Provide reference letters from companies that show they have two or higher years of full-time or equal part-time work experience as a social service worker or community worker within the 5 years prior to applying;
• Have language examination results showing that a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) scoreof 7 or above in English language or French language in all four language skills (reading, speaking, writing, and listening);
• Need to have a bachelor’s degree or have finished 3 or more year’s program at a university, trade, college, or technical school, or from eligible institutes.
• Need to have an efficient profile in the Federal Express Entry that was presented on or later 6 December 2018.
