Nova Scotia immigration has held a current draw mainly focused on business applicants by its Entrepreneur Stream.

The Feb 19 draw observed 22 invitations announced, with the lowest-ranked applicant scoring 112 points.

Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Stream

The Nova Scotia Entrepreneur stream focuses candidates with ownership of the business or experience in the senior management. They should live in the province of Nova Scotia, either begin a new business or purchase an existing business, and actively engage in the day-to-day business  management.

Below the Entrepreneur stream, applicants have first announced a temporary work permit prior to applying for PR after running the business for a year. The stream utilizes an Expression of Interest, where applicants in the pool are invited to appeal.

Requirements for Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Stream

• Age must be 21 or older
• Having the least net worth of CAD 600,000
• Minimum investment of CAD 150,000 to start or acquire a business in Nova Scotia.
• Need to Have a Minimum 3 years of experience in actively running and holding a business (minimum 33% ownership required) OR higher than five years of experience in the role of senior business management.
• Score at least 5 on the CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) in reading, speaking, listening, and writing in French or English.
