Canada Ranks Top For Immigration And Investment Amongst All Other Nations

This year Canada secured the third rank out of 50 nations on the Anholt-Ipsos Nation Brands Index, which is up from the previous fifth place overall in 2018. Only France and Germany scored above Canada.

The rankings depend on 20,035 online interviews held with adults above the age of 18 years in 20 nations.

Canada Secures First Position in Specific Categories

Canada secured first in 3 of the 6 specific categories that were applied to rank the 50 nations - immigration & investment, individuals & governance. It was also the only country in the top 5 that enhanced its standing in governance, tourism, and culture.

This is the subsequent year in a row that Canada secured the first rank for immigration & investment, which reflects a country’s ability to attract individuals to live, study or work as well as opinions of its quality life and the business atmosphere.

The immigration & investment score depends on 5 composite attributes that are work and live, educational qualifications, quality of life, investment in the business, and equality in society.

The Immigration & Investment Index assesses a country’s ability to bring talent and capital,” the report read. It is estimated not only by whether individuals would consider working, studying, or living in that nation, but also by awareness of the national economic prosperity, equal opportunities, and finally whether it is seen to be a place with a great quality of life.

Members in this research were also demanded to give the 50 nations “personality traits.” Canada was deemed friendly by 39% of participants, trustworthy by 30%, generous by 19% and happy by 29%.
