The Immigration department of Canada is once again open for inquiries by phone. Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship Canada (I.R.C.C) operations through phone have been down since late March 2020 following the execution of special coronavirus preventive measures taken throughout Canada.

Now Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship Canada (I.R.C.C) is once again receiving calls, but at a decreased capacity. Phone lines will be accessible from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm EST.

The latest phone system has been put in place to support immigration agents who are working remotely. Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship Canada (I.R.C.C) warned that if there may be any technical issues that may arise as an effect of this new set up, as per the media release.
