Canada Conducts 97th Express Entry Draw Maintains 440 As The Cut Off Score

97^th Express Entry Draw was conducted on 22 August 2018 by CIC. 3750 invitations were issued in this draw with the cut off score of 440. This maintains the same number of invitations issued and cut off score as was in the last draw held on 08 August 2018.

Canada Express Entry is followed for issuing permanent residence under categories like:

• Federal Skilled Worker Program
• Canadian Experience Class
• Federal Skilled Trade Program
• Provincial Nomination Programs

The invited candidates now have 60 days to file the application with CIC in order to be granted PR visa.

The cut off score is generated based upon the Comprehensive Ranking Score which allots a candidate scores on core points and additional points. Core points consist of skills & experience factors, spouse or common law factors (candidates applying with spouse or common law partners) and skill transferability factors. Additional points have factors like provincial nomination, a job offer from Canadian employer, a brother or sister living in Canada who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, degrees or diploma from Canada and strong French language skills.

The total CRS is out of 1200 points and you can claim 600 points under core factors and 600 under additional factors.
