BC PNP: Entrepreneur Regional Pilot Adds 11 New Communities

British Columbia immigration has attached 11 latest communities to the Entrepreneur Regional Immigration Pilot. The additions indicate a sum of 55 communities is now signed up to take a role in the pilot of British Columbia PNP stream.

• Sayward
• Osoyoos
• Northern Rockies Regional Municipality
• Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako – Electoral Area G (Houston Rural)
• Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako – Electoral Area F (Vanderhoof Rural)
• Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako – Electoral Area E (Francois/Ootsa Lake Rural)
• Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako – Electoral Area D (Fraser Lake Rural)
• Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako – Electoral Area C (Fort St. James Rural)
• Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako – Electoral Area B (Burns Lake Rural)
• Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako – Electoral Area A (Smithers Rural)

The two-year pilot is intended to fascinate entrepreneurs to build businesses in communities with populations lower than 75,000. These smaller communities are suffering with some of the significant acute problems with narrowing labor markets and also with aging populations.

Net worth and Investment requirements for the Regional Pilot are 50 percent of those mentioned for the mainstream of British Columbia Entrepreneur. Below the BC Regional Immigration Pilot, aspirants are expected to invest CAD 100,000, have a least net worth of CAD 300,000, and create one job for a citizen OF Canada or permanent resident of Canada.

The Regional Pilot is mainly for entrepreneurs planning to begin a new business. Those planning to buy or acquire an existing business should consider B.C.’s primary Entrepreneur Immigration stream.

Community Requirements

• Less than 75,000 Population.
• Community should be located 30km away from a municipality of greater than 75,000 population.
• Demonstrate the ability to support international entrepreneurs with a settlement network and business support agencies.

Candidate Requirements

• Desire to begin a business and reside in a British Columbia regional community.
• Should finish an exploratory visit.
• Business investments must be not less than CAD 100,000.
• Having a individual net worth of CAD 300,000.
• Ownership must be not less than 51%.
• Need to create not less than one job.
