Australian Far North Queensland DAMA Accepts New Business Associations

It was a Designated Area Migration Agreement (D.A.M.A) designed and declared before the national election in 2019, and eventually, the Far North Queensland D.A.M.A is off the ground and allowing applications as per the recent media announcement from the Citizenship, Immigration, Multicultural Affairs, and Migrant Services Ministry.

Far North Queensland now associates with the below regions with effective DAMAs:

• Orana, NSW;
• Northern Territory;
• Adelaide, SA;
• Goldfields, WA;
• Warrnambool, Victoria; and
• Regional South Australia.

DAMAs come below the Temporary Skill Shortage (Subclass 482) visa scheme to satisfy critical skill deficits specific to a local region that is outside the purview of the sponsor framework of standard business.

Occupations Included in Far North Queensland D.A.M.A

It can be observed with the Far North Queensland D.A.M.A profession list which lists some of the common suspects along with the professions of 411411- Enrolled Nurse and 423111- Aged or Disabled Career. It also has three “built” professions, those not seen in the A.N.Z.S.C.O:

• 070499 Restaurant Supervisor
• 070499 Farm Supervisor
• 070499 Farm Inspector

Most professions grant a pathway to a permanent Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186) visa presented that the sponsored worker has been working in the same position for a minimum of 3 years of the previous 4 years with a Far North Queensland D.A.M.A endorsed company and in the corresponding A.N.Z.S.C.O Unit Group as the holder of a Temporary Skill Shortage (Subclass 482) visa, along with other things.
