Alberta provincial immigration issued 150 Invitations to Apply (ITAs), or Notifications of Interest (NOIs), to applicants in the pool of federal Express Entry.

Applicants who secured CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) scores as less as 350 points were given with Notifications of Interest. The Alberta's Express Entry Stream permits the Alberta's Provincial Nominee Program (AINP) to choose qualified candidates with a valid profile in the system of federal Express Entry.

Federal Express Entry maintains the candidates' pool for 3 Economic immigration classes of Canada

• Federal Skilled Trades Class
• Canadian Experience Class
• Federal Skilled Worker Class

Candidates in the Federal Express Entry with an Alberta provincial Alberta will receive an additional 600 CRS points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System and are effectively secured with an invitation to apply for Canada PR in the following draw from the pool of Canadian Express Entry.

The cut-off CRS score in this most recent invitation round is 350 points which is significantly lower than the CRS cut-off scores for the draws managed through the Federal Express Entry system.

For instance, in the current Federal Express Entry draw applicants must need a CRS minimum CRS score of 471 points in order to obtain an Invitation to Apply (I.T.A).

AINP Gives Priority to Applicants Based on Certain Criteria

While an employment offer or prior work experience in Alberta is not needed in order to be suitable for this draw, but the Alberta PNP says it may give preference to aspirants with:

• A valid offer of a job and/or relevant skilled work experience in Alberta province;
• A degree from a post-secondary institute in Canada and a valid offer of a job; or
• A child, sibling or parent, who already residing in Alberta province.
