1st Draw Of Canada Express Entry In 2016 Invites 1,463 Candidates

The Canada Express Entry scheme in the first draw held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. Totally, 1463 candidates were invited to apply for this comprehensive point based selection system. It is the 24th draw, since its introduction in the year 2015. Applicants who have received points more than 461 have been invited for the application.

The current draw represents a slight increase in the points compared to the previous 23rd draw that was held in 2015. Canada Immigration and Citizenship in its webinar has announced the increase of points and stated that it may decrease in the future rounds. In the current year to meet the economic plans when the number of rounds grows the valid score may decline says, a policy analyst.

The Canadian Federal Government introduced Canada Express Entry Scheme. It attracts the applicants in various categories such as Federal Skilled Trades, Federal Skilled Worker, and the Canadian Experience class. This Express entry plan was effective from January 1, 2015.

Interested eligible candidates must have to submit their profile in Express Entry pool. Based on the draw system, the system figures out the qualified candidates by awarding the ranking. CIC conducts Canadian Express entry draws; this is the 24th draw since its inception. Applicants who receive an invitation for permanent residence have to apply an e-application, and then from this stage, Canada Government takes six months to process your application.
