Status of a child in Australia ?

What would be the child’s status after his/her birth in Australia  from the parents who are residing in Australia  under study permit?

I think

- They are not automatically Granted Australian Citizenship

- In order to be an Australian Citizen , at Least one parent must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia at the time of child's Birth.
